Blue Mine Group Continues Growth With the Addition of Four New Team Members San Diego, CA. – August 17, 2005 – Blue Mine Group, a venture management and angel capital firm serving early-stage technology companies, announced today the addition of four new team members. Monica Lanctot, Kim Freeman and Stephanie Barnabe have been engaged as account managers, serving a range of technology clients, while Jen Jones has joined the team as the Executive Assistant to the CEO. In addition, the firm is currently seeking two account coordinators to join its client services team. Michael Lurie, Blue Mine Group’s founder and CEO, attributes the firm’s expansion to the creation and implementation of the company’s unique growth model for early-stage technology companies. “By listening carefully to the needs of our target audience, we have continually evolved our capabilities to include strategy, marketing, sales, and business development, and now angel capital. As we help our clients grow their businesses, we have also been fortunate enough to grow our own – increasing our revenues by more than fifty percent over last year.” Monica Lanctot brings a decade of experience in marketing, product management and communications within the high-tech and Internet industries to her role as account manager at Blue Mine Group. She has developed marketing programs and managed product lifecycle activities for companies of all sizes. Prior to joining Blue Mine Group, Monica was a communications manager of the Network Storage Solutions division of Hewlett-Packard. She also served in product and marketing communications management positions at virtualization company, StorageApps, and Internet marketing company, MyPoints.com. Kim Freeman has successfully managed marketing, client services and communications programs both internationally and domestically, for over six years. Previously Kim was the global marketing and client services manager for Prestige International, a global provider of business process outsourcing services. Prior to joining Prestige, Kim was a marketing coordinator at ActionAce.com, an online retailer for popular and hard-to-find Japanese and American toys. Stephanie Barnabe has over ten years of marketing, communications and public relations experience. Previously, Stephanie led the technical training division at IQ NetSolutions, developing and delivering hands-on training for a presence and call control software application; she also spent several years as marketing manager at NextiraOne, a provider of professional services. Prior to NextiraOne, she owned and operated Driving Communications, a marketing and public relations business serving technology, healthcare, multilevel marketing and motor sports clients. Jen Jones comes to Blue Mine Group from Baxter BioScience where she was the senior department specialist for sales training and operations. Prior to Baxter, she worked as an assistant account executive for Tribune Media Services. Jones has extensive experience managing complex sales force expansions and global contracts.
