Challenge:
Founded in 2004, Herae, has developed a SaaS software solution to improve processing of insurance payments for a healthcare practice. Herae provides automation for the healthcare industry with benefits similar to those of direct deposit for payroll. In a clearinghouse fashion, Herae moves both information and funds associated with healthcare claim payments from insurance companies (payers) to physician (provider) offices, electronically. The result is the elimination of paper envelopes, checks and explanation of payment forms, simpler and faster processing, increased collections, and an overall savings of billions of dollars per year. Herae partnered with Blue Mine Group on a strategic initiative to help the company position itself within a new strategic channel in order to significantly accelerate new customer traction and revenue.
Solution:
The partnership included strategy development and wide range of implementation services. Working closely with Herae's senior management, Blue Mine Group helped Herae build a new business focus by taking its web-based solution to banks in order to expand access to healthcare providers through an existing financial services channel that caters to this vertical and is aggressively seeking new products and an expanded footprint.
Results:
Blue Mine Group's competitive and market analysis helped Herae develop messaging to define its place in the industry and clearly define its target customers and potential partners within the portion of the healthcare market that is serviced by banks and financial institutions.
Blue Mine Group's business development efforts identified more than 30 potential partner banks interested in strategic partnerships and joint marketing arrangements with Herae.
